Changes in the Price of Moldavite
If you’re a returning customer, you may have noticed that our prices have gone up, and we wanted to take a moment to explain what’s going on. (Our first big price increase went into effect on January 28, 2022 due to global Moldavite supply changes.)
First, we raised our “Compare At” prices for Moldavite and Moldavite Jewelry. That’s the price you see to the right of each product with the line through it. The Compare At price is the price that we would expect our competitors to charge based on the market price of Moldavite and the precious metals we use (gold, silver.)
Second, we raised our sale price for Moldavite and Moldavite Jewelry. Please note, we do keep our prices as low as we can for our customers. We can do that because we source Moldavite and Moldavite gems directly from trusted sources. We create our unique line of jewelry in our studio in Asheville, NC, USA.
Moldavite only comes from one country, the Czech Republic. Moldavite mines there are closed now or in very low production. As we’ve said since we started selling Moldavite in 2016, Moldavite is rarer than gold or diamonds. It is incredibly important to only buy Moldavite from trusted sources.
Since our start in 2016, we have always understood the value of Moldavite as a metaphysical crystal and as a rare mineral. We will continue to be able to get Moldavite to sell and make jewelry with, but the prices will continue to go up because of the supply issue.
What more could you expect from The Stone of Transformation? We’re surrounded by Moldavite here and we embrace the change that it brings. We have gone up and down with the trends, continuing to provide the best customer service that we can even when the level of orders was more in one month than the whole year before. That was a busy month! We are a small team here, we love what we do and we’re here to stay.
Thank you for being here with us! Please reach out if you have any questions :)
